about
“A Ship Sails” is the debut twelve-track album by Sydney/Lismore folk band, The Button Collective. Incorporating mandolin, accordion, fiddle, banjo, harmonica, double bass and acoustic guitar, the music borrows elements from traditional folk bands of Australia, Ireland, and central Europe, spiced with the spirit of fast-paced bluegrass from america and all with a very personal and intimate delivery from singer and songwriter, Brodie Buttons. The album was recorded, produced and mixed by the band, funded by an successful crowd-funding campaign.
